The Missouri Department of Health through the Traumatic Brain Injury Services Coordination Program provides assistance in locating,
coordinating and purchasing rehabilitation and psychological services for individuals who have survived a traumatic brain injury.
The services are available free of charge to any Missouri resident with a traumatic brain injury, regardless of the insurance or financial
status of the individual. Service Coordinators are located in county health departments in the western, central and eastern regions.
Service Coordination staff consist of Clinical Social Workers, Community Health Nurses and Professionals with knowledge and expertise in
the field of brain injury. These employees have education and experience in working with survivors of traumatic head injury and their families
and can access needed community services.
Brain Injury Service Rehabilitation Funding is available statewide to survivors of traumatic brain injury. Vendors with expertise
in brain injury rehabilitation are located throughout the state. Services include functional living rehabilitation, day activity, in home support,
prevocational/ pre-employment training, recreation, transportation, community support and therapies.
