Missouri Parents Act (MPACT)
Parent Information and Training Center

What Is It?

Missouri Parents Act (MPACT) is Missouri's statewide parent training and information center for parents of children with disabilities. MPACT's mission is to ensure that all children with special needs receive an education which allows them to achieve their personal goals.

All of our services promote the dignity of individuals with disabilities and their right to participate in all aspects of their communities and working in partnership with professionals.

MPACT provides parent to parent training, information and referrals, resource library of books and tapes, a quarterly newsletter and individual assistance with special education issues. MPACT coordinates a Parent to Parent Network which provides parents an opportunity to meet and visit with other parents.

Who Provides This Service?

MPACT volunteers help parents prepare for educational meetings, present workshops that increase advocacy and develop communication skills which promote effective partnerships in the education process.
