The mission of Community Housing Network is to create and assist in making available safe, affordable housing options for
persons with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse and their families.
Community Housing Network was established in 1992 as a non-profit community development corporation to create long term
housing opportunities for persons on limited incomes receiving mental health services and their families.
Community Housing Network is bringing together new partners in the fields of housing, community development, finance and government,
pooling talents and resources to help address the critical need for affordable housing for persons with disabilities. Working in close
collaboration with the Department of Mental Health Housing Team, assistance may take the form of:
- Homeless prevention (Emergency Shelter Grant)
- Rental subsidies
- Housing counseling and referral
